Birth

The promising hope for the future is encompassed in the birth of a new baby. We mark this moment with a brit or bris, bringing a baby into the covenant of the Jewish people. For a boy this includes a circumcision. For a girl, this may include a water ritual. For both, it includes receiving and announcing the Hebrew name of the child.

Mikveh

The ritual of immersing in water can be sued throughout the lifecycle in times of expectation and preparation, love and happiness, healing, and in mourning. We use a ritual bath with living waters to kiss every inch of skin, or we find appropriate open waters in God's creation for immersion and spiritual rebirth. Our rabbi was trained at Mayyim Hayyim in Boston and can guide individuals in immersion.
